Pateneted Edge Support - Improved Design Compared to Sleep Number 4000 Bed
Believe it or not, some of the most expensive Airbeds on the market skimp on this important part. This fabric sling set connects all 4 side rails inside the bed to prevent 'bowing out' of your mattress over time.
Every time you lie down or adjust air firmness you want the Airbed to adjust upwards - not sideways. Without these fabric slings holding the inside bladders together, the stress will be transferred to the outer shell and zippered Pillowtop.
Years of unwanted side pressure can cause seams to pop and zippers to break. You will notice the side rails of the mattress start to stretch out from the foundation. More importantly, this allows the two air bladders to separate down the center of the Airbed. Soon you could feel an indentation instead of the smoothness across the mattress. Sling rails prevent this from occurring.
